Within my role as Estate Manager and Beadle, I wear several hats. I oversee a 3.5-acre estate at St Helens Place and 100 Bishopsgate, where roughly half the estate is long-term lets and the other half comprises 5–10-year leases that I actively manage day to day.

My career path wasn’t exactly linear. After a brief and unsuccessful attempt to join the army at 16, I turned to my second passion, cooking. I entered secondary education with ambitions of becoming a chef, only to realise fairly quickly that my talents were better suited elsewhere. I pivoted to Hotel Management and never looked back.

I have since spent more than 30 years in the corporate and private hospitality sector, working with organisations including ISS, Compass Group, Lexington and Party Ingredients.

As Beadle, I am responsible for managing events across the hall and estate, overseeing catering, security, maintenance and housekeeping teams, as well as coordinating the many third-party contractors who come onto site.

Outside of work, I’m a family man with two adult children. My interests include rugby and wine. I used to play one, and I still study the other.
