Robert started his Beadling career in 2022 when he replaced the previous Beadle, of 24 years at Girdlers Hall. Robert was formerly a bricklayer then decided on a career change in 1998 and joined HM Forces, where he became a member of the Household Division,  joining the 1^st Battalion Welsh Guards in 1999, completing 24years, exemplary service with the Regiment, serving across the globe.

Robert is a `Hall Beadle` which describes a Beadle, whom solely beadles for their employing Company at the Companies events within their Hall. These events can range from a charity fundraising reception of one of the Girdlers` Companies 35 charities, to a black tie dinner or lunch and also white tie dinners and lunches, also incorporating the City of London’s Civic calendar, such as the Lord Mayors Show, The Shrivel Election and the Election of the City of London’s Lord Mayor, Robert formats and manages them all for The Company.

Robert is also the Hall manager of Girdlers` Hall, where he maintains and secures Girdlers` Hall and all of its treasures within, including the famous Bell carpet , which was commissioned in 1634 by a Past Master of the Girdlers` Company, Mr Robert Bell. Robert also ensures the Health and safety of the Hall staff and all visiting guests are met to the highest standards, ensuring a safe, comfortable and enjoyable event is had by all that work and visit Girdlers` Hall.
